About Spray Foam Guides
Spray Foam Guides helps homeowners and small construction professionals make assembly, material, safety, and inspection decisions before a purchase or installation.
Our job
We publish U.S.-focused educational guidance for real building assemblies. The core question is not “Which foam is best?” It is “What must be true for this roof, wall, rim joist, crawlspace, or foundation to work safely and durably?”
That leads us to cover air, heat, bulk water, vapor, fire protection, exposure control, mechanical systems, access, repairability, and the points where a project should stop for professional review.
Relationship to Best Spray Foam
Spray Foam Guides and Best Spray Foam are related sister publications under common editorial ownership. Spray Foam Guides covers project planning, material basics, safety, troubleshooting, and insulation comparisons. Best Spray Foam covers product research, reviews, and buying decisions.
Relevant guides can show specific product examples researched by Best Spray Foam, with a link to that publication’s product record and separate direct links to Amazon or Walmart. We identify the exact product format and package rather than treating all foam products as interchangeable. We do not present one publication as an independent third-party endorsement of the other.
The store sets its price, seller, availability, shipping, and return terms. Check the complete listing and current manufacturer documents before buying. Product examples do not approve an installation or replace the conditions in the guide. See ownership and store-link disclosures.
Revenue model
Selected, verified Amazon product links use our Associates tracking ID, and we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no added cost to the buyer. A visible affiliate disclosure appears before each affected product section; Walmart links are currently ordinary store links. Display advertising and sponsorship are not active. Commission rate does not determine editorial inclusion, order, score, or wording.
Safety, failure, and emergency-oriented pages do not carry product recommendations or retailer calls to action. A valid result can be “use another material,” “do not DIY,” or “investigate before buying.”
Who writes and reviews the work
Content is published by the Spray Foam Guides editorial team and checked against the primary sources shown on each page. The technical review record lists the scope and corrections for the reviewed edition. Independent specialist review remains separate and has not been completed; that status is disclosed on each reviewed guide.
